- Search queries you enter (area names, postcodes)

When you use the contact form:

- Server logs: Security monitoring, abuse prevention, and performance analysis (retained 30 days)
- Contact form data: To reply to your enquiry only. We do not add you to any mailing list.
- Analytics: Aggregate, anonymised data to understand how our site is used and improve it

- data.police.uk: All crime data is fetched from and cached locally from this API. Your searches do not expose your IP address to police servers.
- Google Analytics / Clarity: Anonymous usage analytics (if implemented)
- Cloudflare CDN: For performance and security (may log IPs briefly)
7. Data Retention
- Server logs: 30 days
- Contact form submissions: Until your enquiry is resolved, maximum 12 months
- Session data: Deleted when your browser session ends
8. Your Rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
